What are toughened glass fittings?

They are the patch fittings, hinges, locks and profiles that let a toughened glass leaf function as a door or partition without a surrounding frame. Alumina Engineering supplies the complete dormakaba Interior Glass Systems programme — fittings, ALEXA aluminium frame profiles, manual sliding systems and euro profile cylinders.

Which fitting families are available?

Mundus, Beyond, Visur, Tensor, Universal, Universal light, Arcos Universal and BM. The Universal family alone offers 24 standard configurations for single-leaf and double-leaf glass assemblies with sidelights and overpanels.

How is glass-door locking handled?

With euro profile cylinders using patented key profiles that are extremely difficult to copy, and an optional key with RFID fob that combines mechanical and electronic access on one carrier.
